Apple launched program to fix issues with iPhone X and 13-inch MacBook Pro for free
Apple is ready to repair all bug issues with iPhone X- and 13-inch MacBook Pro for free. These bug issues were spotted by Bloomberg on Apple’s support pages. The iPhone X’s display module and the MacBook Pro’s solid-state drive. Apple stated that the bug issues started in iPhone X units, facing issues in its touchscreen, no display respond or intermittently respond to the users touch and, in some cases, display even responded even when it is not touched. Some of the iPhone owners reported that even factory reset did not fix the mobile issues.
Apple said under the new repair program the users suffering from the issues will get display module of their smartphones replaced for free. However, if their X phone comes with any other damages like cracked screen, the phone will require to fix screen issues first. Although Apple company have not disclosed any information regarding which batch of iPhone X units come with faulty display module. After this issue, Apple discontinued iPhone X units and no new batch was launched in the market. Apple had also discontinued iphone X right after the launch of iPhone Xs, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.
Apple have announced that this program does not extend the standard warranty coverage of iPhone X and all the repair will be restricted to the original country of purchase. The Apple will cover the repair of affected X devices for three years after the first retail sale of the unit.
The repair program also has been launched for the 13-inch MacBook Pro units for free.
The MacBook owners can get the solution of their laptops at Apple store or authorized service dealer. During the laptop repair program users are recommended to first back up their data as all the data will be wiped of as a part of the program. According to Apple, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with no touch bar is prone to data loss or drive failure. The affected MacBook Pro units were sold in year of 2017 to 2018, June. The memory capacities of these units per 128 GB or 256 GB. To avail the free repair program the users may enter their laptop’s serial number on the apple support page.
